As our school year rolls along and we approach year end, we would like to take a week to say thanks, honor and celebrate our wonderful teachers and staff at CCE. We have wonderful staff members who give so much in educating our children. The United States nationally observes the first full week of May so we will begin our celebrations on Monday, May 6th and conclude on Friday, May 10th.

Listed below are a few of the activities planned for the week. If you are able to donate treats, gift cards, or volunteer to help with set up/distribute meals/clean-up, please sign up here: Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week

Monday, May 6th – Friday, May 10th -”Sweets & Treats Bar”

The Teacher’s lounge will be stocked with various sweets and treats for the staff to enjoy the entire week. We will have individually wrapped goodies displayed for our staff to stop by as they need a pick me up, snack or treat.

Tuesday, May 7th – Cards of Appreciation

We are asking room parents to assist the students in their class make cards for their teacher and assigned staff member.

Friday, May 10th – Catered Take Home Dinner

The PTO will provide a catered dinner for our teachers and staff to take home and enjoy with their families. Mama’s Pizza of Cornelius will be offering a hot catered take home dinner available for teachers/staff members to pick up at the end of the school day.

Friday, May 10th-Gift Card Drawing

The PTO would like to provide every teacher and staff member with a small gift. Therefore, we are asking for a total of 80 ($5-$10) gift cards to be donated, which will be drawn by each teacher/staff member when they pick up their dinner.

The teachers and staff will be showered with appreciation throughout the week with a few additional surprises on Wednesday and Thursday!

Friday, May 31 – Deadline to order School Kidz back to school supply kit

You will have until May 31st, 2013 to place your order on-line. You will have the chance to order supplies for our Enhancement Teachers to assist them with stocking their classrooms as well. For each kit ordered, CCE will receive a portion of the proceeds from that sale making this a great way to get the supplies your child needs for next school year while supporting our school too.
